OPEN BIBLE FELLOWSHIP

“About Us” can be summarized in this statement: “God’s Word is essential for life as it is the authority and rule concerning every circumstance we experience therefore governing all of the relationships of the Saints. Because of this, OBF has a tagline: Reach Up, Reach In, Reach Out.

First of all, REACH UP to God for grace and peace.  He alone can teach us what we need in this life through His Word,. Philippians 3:10 “that I may know Him.”

Then REACH IN to allow His Word to develop our hearts and lives for Him, Romans 8:29 “to be conformed to the image of His Son”.

We are able to REACH OUT to others with hope and with the love of Christ because of our relationship with God. Philippians 1:27 “let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ?”

WHERE WE MEET

We are thankful for the opportunites that God has opened to us for ministry and fellowship.

Our building @ 3639 Redman Rd, Brockport, NY is open for fellowship, Bible studies and worship. Getting together for face-to-face fellowship is so important for our growth in Christ. We are saving a seat for you so please come join us.

For those who cannot travel to Brockport, we rejoice that our services and bible studies are available live on Zoom. Our OBF Meetings page provides the times and the Zoom links for you.

OUR CORE BELIEF

A page “About Us” needs to include what we believe and it is our core belief that God’s grace was given to all people because of His unfailing love through the finished work of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of this all people are redeemed by the blood of Christ and all will be reconciled to God at the moment of the individual’s belief in the finished work of Christ.

OUR VISION

The vision of OBF is for the Saints to build a relationship with the Lord. Therefore we study, teach, and preach the Word of God for encouragement, edification, and learning so that we may come to know God. Ephesians 2:4-7; Philippians 3:10

It is our desire is to grow in grace and to share God’s wonderful and awesome grace with as many people as possible.

LIFE GOAL

This page, “About Us”, must include Bro. Dan, a man who loves the Lord and lives to share God’s love with all with whom he comes in contact. Because of this, it is his desire to help people discover who our Lord Jesus Christ is and to develop a relationship with Him. The Word of God has no limit to the rich treasures that it can impart to those whose hearts and eyes are open to what He has for them. Therefore, Dan’s ministry to the saints is one that encourages spiritual growth.

HIS PASTTIMES

Bro. Dan’s favorite pasttimes are talking to people and spending time with the Lord. He loves to study and read. As a result, he has a huge library which is ever growing. The Bible Messages that he presents are evidence of his constant reading and studying in his library. As a result, we all profit from Dan’s study.

HIS FAMILY

Our Preacher and his wife Susan have been married for 50+ years. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren and find this a wonderful blessing of the grace of God. No great-grandchildren yet but they are hoping!

TESTIMONY

Dan 3 is son and associate to Bro. Dan Jr. and he grew up in the OBF ministry. Our “About Us” core belief, that God’s grace was given to all people because of His unfailing love through the finished work of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, is Dan’s testimony. He was ordained and joined the OBF ministry to serve the Lord and God’s people.  The source of Dan’s strength and purpose is the amazing grace of God. As a result, Bro. Dan honors Christ and the Gospel of the Grace of God by faithfully teaching and preaching the Word of God.

BLOG

Dan has a blog and he continually adds new posts. The cruciform love and faith of God is his ministry to the Saints. Therefore, these messages and studies are a blessing and precious to those who partake. You can find the blog at theopenuniversalist.com.

WHERE HE LIVES

Dan’s home with his wife, Lisa, is Hulberton, NY. They both love gardening and enjoy a bountiful harvest. As a result of this bounty, sharing the harvest with others is something everyone enjoys. God has blessed them with a son, Dan 4, who lives in Rochester, NY.

Zoom & Camera Tech

Seth is the one who controls the cameras. He also insures that those tuning in on ZOOM enjoy the services on Sunday morning.

He is absolutely dependable and, as a result, a joy to work with!

His favorite saying is, “Keep Calm and Carry On.”

The Sound Board

Gordie is new to the Tech Team and he has caught on quickly to all of the switches and ‘dodads’ on the board.

Voicemeeter seems so easy to him. Therefore we are thankful to the Lord for him.

The Slide Computer

Joy operates the PPT slides smoothly and efficiently. Thank you, Joy, for being able to keep up with the flow of the service.

It requires a lot of insight and many times the ability to catch on quickly to changes that need to be made.

Music Director

Carl leads the music for our onsite folks. He loves the music and enjoys being a blessing.

He is a capable man who loves the Lord.
